About

Jaime Kowal is a professional photographer, author, educator, publisher and social entrepreneur. She recently launched the award-winning book Waking Up the West Coast: Healers and Visionaries - a celebration of individuals and organizations committed to healthy, green living available here and distributed by New Society Publishers in bookstores across North America.

 

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Jaime specializes in global travel, unique lifestyles, authentic portraiture, and all things green. Some of the intriguing, dynamic personalities she has photographed include politicians, celebrities, business leaders, musicians, artists, authors and healers including His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Goldie Hawn, Dr Jerilynn Prior, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Carol Newell, recipient of the Order of Canada, Elizabeth May, Leader of Canada’s Green Party and many more.

 

Jaime has been involved in conscious media for many years, and understands her client’s progressive perspectives. She provides high-quality images for values-based, sustainably-oriented commercial and editorial clients around the world, helping them tell their unique stories through passionate imagery. She is committed to continually evolving her clean aesthetic to keep her images fresh and exciting, and her relaxed approach and flexibility working with a wide range of clients immediately puts her subjects at ease. Jaime’s long-term goal is to continue to develop her medium to create powerful images that act as a catalyst for positive change in the world.

 

Jaime also has experience working in an educational capacity with the National Geographic Traveler Seminars, the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and the Vancouver Photo Workshops. She is an enthusiastic workshop leader and generously shares her passion and knowledge of photography with her participants.
